Years End ...

Saturday, 29th December 2012

Last weekend saw Leon play his last show of the year for good friend Mark Bowater and the lovely people of Kingsway music in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

2012 has been host to a number of live shows, including a coveted touring spot with U.S artist Allen Stone - which culminated with a sold out show at London’s esteemed Jazz Cafe. There were also solitary support shows with chart toppers Lawson, the incomparable Newton Faulkner, natives Admiral Fallow and folk rockers Kassidy all allowing for visits to Glasgow, Dundee, Stirling, Edinburgh, Manchester, Derby and London with a trip across to Dublin, Ireland as well.

What’s more, this year seen Leon collaborate with former The Voice UK artist Vince Kidd, having co-written the lead track, ‘Sick Love’ from Vince’s debut EP released on Island Records.

“2012 has been an integral part in the building of a sustainable music career for me, and the last few years have allowed for a slow and stealthy gestation into a new artist of genuine note. I’ve felt it incumbent that I validate my musical legitimacy and that has been greeted with wholehearted fervour by my audiences. I am still learning how to deal with the ardency of my fans and I am forever grateful for their unwavering support.”

Having continuously honed my skills and by the unrelieved writing of new material, I look forward to sharing with you whatever 2013 and the future may bring.

Yours always,
Leon x
